How To Get Your Jeans To Stretch To Fit You Perfectly
I found these cute jeans at Buffalo Exchange and they fit fine but they felt just a bit stiff. That’s when I remembered the damp jeans trick. It’s not exactly the most pleasant thing to do but dang it, it works!
When I got home, I threw the jeans into the wash on a quick cycle just to get them wet but wrung out. You don’t want them sopping, just damp. Once I got them on (this was tricky) and buttoned, I started doing squats, lunges and just sort of walked around the apartment, getting them to mold to my body and stretch in the natural places like my waist and knees. Once I felt like they started to loosen a bit, I took them off and hung them up to dry overnight. The next morning, they had loosened in all right places and slid on effortlessly as if they were made for me! This trick really does work (I’ve since tried it on other pairs of stiff denim that I own) as long as you can bear to wear damp jeans for 5-10 min, haha.

They might not look too terribly different in this photo but the fit felt completely different and that is what’s important. I love these jeans even more than before and look forward to putting them on because now they fit like they were made for my body. Would you try this crazy trick? If you do, let me know how it goes!
